Growing Up
Mario was born and raised in Sterling Heights, Michigan, where he grew up with dreams of becoming a professional baseball player. A devoted Detroit Tigers fan from an early age, baseball has been a lifelong passion and ambition.
College
Playing college baseball was a goal in itself. He played for Oakland University from 2017 to 2020 before transferring to Central Michigan University, where he continued his athletic career from 2021 to 2022. Mario had a successful college baseball career including setting records, earning 1st Team All-American honors in Division 1 baseball, receiving conference awards, and being named a finalist for the Rawlings Gold Glove.
Professional Career
In 2022, Mario was selected by the Chicago White Sox in the 8th round of the MLB Draft, 251st overall. He currently plays for their AA affiliate, the Birmingham Barons.
